The Georgia Veterans Outreach Project is hosting a series of free virtual legal clinics for veterans this year.
- JANUARY 23, 2021—Columbus/Macon
- FEBRUARY 27, 2021—Savannah/Augusta
- MARCH 27, 2021—Florida Border
- JUNE 5, 2021—Northwest Georgia (Dalton Region)
- JULY 10, 2021—Northeast Georgia (Gainesville Region)
These events will connect veterans who have legal questions with volunteer attorneys who can answer those questions.
Attorneys will provide advice on veterans benefits and other legal matters, such as consumer, family, housing, shelter, and other civil issues, but not including criminal law.
Veterans can connect with the clinics either by computer and webcam or by phone. If you do not have reliable phone or internet service, you can come to in-person locations that will be available in each location and connect with attorneys using provided computers.
Veterans are asked to pre-register for these events. Registration dates will be announced in advance of each clinic.
The Georgia Veterans Outreach Project is a collaborative effort of the Military Legal Assistance Project of the Georgia Legal Services Program and the UGA Veterans Legal Clinic, with funding provided by the American Bar Association.
