Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, OCPRD walking paths/trails and dog park has remained open for citizens complying with social distancing guidelines. Park facilities closed include Community Center, soccer/softball/baseball fields, basketball/tennis court/volleyball courts, playgrounds and disc golf course.
Current Public Health State of Emergency remains in effective through Friday, June 12, which includes a shelter in place for specified populations.
Oconee County Parks and Recreation will begin a phased in approach in reopening park facilities. The first phase of reopening will begin Thursday, May 14. The county will continue monitoring health guidelines and park usage to determine the second phase of reopening, as well as the date to implement the second phase.
All park patrons must comply with social distancing requirements, max gathering limits and other COVID-19 best practices.
