January 7 BOC Meeting Highlights

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners held its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. The following actions were taken at the meeting:

Announced upcoming Town Hall Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, at 6 p.m. at Oconee Veterans Park in the Community Room

Adopted Oconee County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

  • Approved Rezone P19-0063 for 0.999 acre on Hog Mountain Road from Agricultural to Office, Institutional, Professional with conditions
  • Approved Rezone P19-0064 for 6.05 acres on Hog Mountain Road from General Business to Office, Institutional, Professional with conditions

Awarded Water Resources On-Call Services contract to Po Boys Plumbing and Griffin Brothers

Accepted quarterly list of easements and rights-of-way

Approved Qualifying Fee Schedule for 2020 elections

Introduced Ken Davis, Democratic Party appointee to the Board of Elections

Discussed relocation of polling precinct from Malcom Bridge Middle School to Marswood Hall at St. Philothea Greek Orthodox Church
