The Oconee County Board of Commissioners presented a proclamation in honor of National 4-H Week to the Oconee County 4-H on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the Board of Commissioners meeting. The Board also recognized Noah Scheuer for his election to the 2019-2020 Northeast Junior Board of Directors and Amelia Sale for her election to the 2019-2020 Senior Board of Directors and for being a Master 4-H’er in the Housing, Equipment, and Environment project. National 4-H Week is a time for local 4-H programs across the nation to celebrate the many ways in which 4-H contributes to the growth and development of life and leadership skills in young people. The 4-H program in Oconee County is offered through the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Cooperative Extension.
