We would like to invite you to join us for our Litter Law Enforcement Workshop on Friday, December 7, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Oconee County Civic Center.
This workshop is hosted by Keep Oconee County Beautiful, in coordination with Keep Madison County Beautiful and Keep Walton Beautiful, and is made possible by a Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation mini-grant. Attendees will learn how litter enforcement has been used as a deterrent to additional crimes and how to work with the court system and others to successfully deter littering and illegal dumping. Open to all police officers, sheriff’s deputies, highway patrol officers, code enforcement officials, and others charged with enforcing and supporting the law, this workshop will connect officials with resources and information to support them in reducing litter and making communities safer.
The Litter Law Enforcement Training will be conducted by Scott Carroll with 423 Law Enforcement and Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Three hours of POST credit for certified law enforcement officers will be awarded upon completion in the subjects of Environmental Law Enforcement, Tactics, and Solutions.
A light breakfast and mid-morning refreshments will be served. Upon completion of the workshop, lunch gift cards will be provided to everyone turning in their feedback form.
