Welcome to the OCPRD Coach Corner!
OCPRD relies on the commitment of hundreds of volunteers to successfully run our youth athletic programs season to season. From the soccer field to the basketball court, you can make a difference in the Oconee community. We created this page for you, the volunteer coach, in hopes that it is a better resource for each and every coach no matter which season or sport.
Upcoming season - Fall 2022:
Youth Soccer Leagues
- U6 Boys and Girls (4-5 years old)
- U8 Boys and Girls (6-7 years old)
- U10 Boys and Girls (8-9 years old)
- U12 Boys and Girls (10 - 11 years old)
- U15 Boys and Girls (12-14 years old)
Youth Soccer Coach Commitment, U6 - U8 Leagues:
- Two - One hour activities per week
- Serve as referee during games
- Eight game regular season
- No post-season
Youth Soccer Coach Commitment, U10 - U15 Leagues:
- Practice length depends on age group
- Certified referees for games
- Eight game regular season
- Post-season jamboree OR tournament
Coaching Requirements - All volunteer youth athletic coaches must complete the following:
1. Register as a Volunteer Coach online through Community Pass:

2. Complete and pass an online background screening:

Volunteer Eligibility Criteria
3. Complete free online concussion training:
Course Link: CDC Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports
4. Complete the NYSCA Training (Attend One):
- Wednesday, August 10 at 6 p.m. at OVP
- Wednesday, August 17 at 6 p.m. at OVP
- U6, U10 - Thursday, August 11 at 6 p.m. at OVP
- U8, U12 - U15 - Thursday, August 11 at 7:15 p.m. at OVP
- Thursday, July 28 at 6 p.m. at OVP
- Wednesday, August 3 at 6 p.m. at OVP
