Oconee Veterans Park

The 197 acre Oconee Veterans Park offers outdoor walking trails, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, and a picnic shelter along with the 34,000 square foot Community Center. The Community Center is open with meeting space for community use, indoor walking track, fitness area, and a gymnasium along with housing the administrative offices for the department. In addition, a Bark Park is located in the back of the park; however, access to the Bark Park closes daily at sunset.

Community Center

Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.


The Community Center features an Indoor Walking Track, Fitness Center, Gymnasium, and Meeting Rooms. Some features may require county residency to obtain membership for use.

Athletic Fields and Courts

Four 200' softball diamonds, three Multipurpose fields featuring 300' fences, skinned infields, and fence "wings" allowing the accommodation of multiple field layouts, four soccer platforms each large enough to hold a full size soccer pitch, and eight lighted tennis courts. Additionally, the park features a paved walking path about 2 miles in length, a Bark Park, and picnic pavilions.

Bark Park

The multi-use paved path is about a two-mile loop around Oconee Veterans Park. It's a great way to get out and enjoy the park and get some exercise.

A total of six (6) covered picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for families and individuals to enjoy an afternoon in the park. Built by the Oconee Rotary Club, access to these shelters closes daily at sunset.  

The Bark Park at OVP was recently renovated following OCPRD and the Oconee Community being recipients of the 2015 Bark for Your Park $25,000 award. The Bark Park is open daily, access to the Bark Park closes at sunset.
