What is this for?
The program is a mandatory training for any establishment seeking a license to sell alcohol in an Oconee County establishment. It is required that all registered agents attend this class and is strongly urged that owners, managers and supervisors to also attend.
What is the program?
Responsible Alcohol sales and Service (RASS) is training in a proactive method on the ordinances that encourages accountability by empowering attendees with a working knowledge of the ordinances. The training integrates proven methods of identifying and addressing situations involving underage drinking, overconsumption, an preventing drunk driving. Lastly, information is offered in a manner that demonstrates how it helps to protect them from liability while receiving assistance, not citations from the officers. Classes are held the first Tuesday night of each month with the exception of July and November at 23 N Main Street, Watkinsville, in the Oconee County Courthouse, Room 103. Material will be offered at the training...simply bring a writing instrument.
