In the dawn's early light on Monday morning, our staff and participants were greeted by "Old Glory" flying from our new flag pole which was donated to the Center by WoodmanLife of Oconee County. Eagle Scout Candidate Collin Pannell and his team from Boy Scout Troop 149 planned and executed the installation which included a walking path and memorial area for placing a dedication plaque. Many thanks to WoodmanLife for the donation of the pole and, our deepest appreciation to Collin and his team for the countless hours spent in this July heat while digging and laying the foundation for this forever memorial. A dedication and the raising of our new flag, a donation from Beth Gilmer and her late husband Bill Gilmer who was a veteran, will be on September 11th at the Center. Stay tuned for more information.    ~ Merry Howard, Senior Center Director
