Mission

The mission of the Information Technology (I.T.) Department is to deploy innovative, cost-effective solutions to all county departments, to provide quality technical support and to protect the County’s infrastructure from cyber threats in order to meet countywide business goals.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and maintaining county websites; providing training for all county employees on relevant computer systems; creating and maintaining the OCGIS/GIS system and all related data projects for internal departments and citizens; technical support and upgrade services to departments relating to hardware and software; analyzing the county's Information Technology needs and providing alternatives for meeting those needs; negotiating contracts and providing project management services to departments; procurement of all technical equipment and software; and telecommunications administration and support including phone system.
